Coco has fixed too many mistakes in her games compared to the previous two years.she is covering the court so well, and faster than before. Beautiful and fast crosscourt shots with precision, less double fault in her serving and good return. I mean she is a Gland Slam contender now.
Coco looks very solid. The forehand was much improved. The fh preparation is much more controlled and the rotation and contact point was much better. This gave her confidence and the rest of her game (which was already top notch) flourished even more.
I am glad that they've kept the shape on her forehand, rather than trying to flatten it out. Spin is definitely the way forward for her. She has the power to make things really difficult for the other girls with a heavy ball.
And the best part about Coco is not even her tennis, to me its her heart and mind how she expresses herself is like a 40 year old with humanity and compassion for other people and her world views are amazing for her young age.
Yeah, you can see these humanity and compassion especially when she supports killing unborn children (women's right to choice, but no one talks about unborn child's right to live). Oh wait, maybe her amazing humanity and compassion are meant only for these people who were lucky enough to be born?
I said late last season that 2023 is the year CoCo will lift her first grand slam trophy *and watching her performance in Auckland, I stand by my 'prediction'* . Since coming on the scene when she was just 15, she has consistently improved her game from year to year, and her first tournament of 2023 further proves that. *Way to go, CoCo!*
She is the most improved player for me after Haddad Maia, many of her returns and forehand are so slow which gives any top player a winner against her, so she is not yet there, maybe not this year but definitely soon considering her age, her shots travelled faster in this match with precision than previous, she will improve I know..She did not play top 50 in Aukland remember, Coco is my girl, when he starts to beat players like Azarenka Haddad Maia or Badosa then Having just a Grand Slam in a year won't be enough for Coco
Congratulations Coco! Great job! I can see she is getting physically stronger and now has more pop on her ground strokes to hit winners…in particularly on her forehand. Keep up the good work and you will win a GS in 2023. 👏👏👏👍 ❤From Jamaica!! 🇯🇲
I'm delighted to watch your game progress and congratulate you on your accomplishments. Coco might someday be open to flattening out some of her forwards and knocking the heck out of the ball to complement her effort to set up winner points. Interesting, it reminds me of Carlos Alcaraz, who is incredibly talented, but points could be finished faster to save wear and tear on the body. Yet, I don't want to come off as a back-seat driver; it may look that way from observations compared to being on the court.
This match was much closer than it seems. Masarova didn't convert the break points, that is why. 0/11 break points won. Anyways, well played for both! 🙌🙌🙌
Let's talk about Masarova! She played really amazing and held her nerve all week to get to the final coming from qualifying. Nice to see another spanish girl cracking the top 100. Tough road for Masarova after winning a junior grand slam as a junior player, tasting the glory of her first semifinal in 2016, and later taking her a lot more years of work, sacrifice and faith than she ever thought she would need. It's pretty amazing to see her dream of cracking the top 100 happen in a final playing against Coco. It's an understatement how much effort behind the scenes its takes, especially mentally to keep trying and trying and then making it! Congrats!
What an incredible way for Coco to start the season. Nice to see her backing up all the potential and talent. The ONLY thing is she has to be careful with how short that forehand lands. Against the wrong player in the right form she will get punished for that short forehand. But hey, you can't really criticize someone who just won the tournament lol! She has so much spin and such an extreme grip on that forehand she could really swing out on it eve more without fear of it going long. Just don't want her to have the "Wozniacki sydrome" where she has a great ranking and consistently wins tournaments but can't close out that major because her forehand lands too short and it just takes 1 out of 7 opponents who's aggressive and hitting the ball well to hit you off the court if your forehand lands too short. But hey, this is a time for celebration lol! What a clinical week of tennis by her! Amazing at 18 years old just amazing!
I don’t think you are criticizing at all! These are extremely valid points that I noticed as well. Big congrats to Coco as she dominated this tournament and showed why she is a GS contender in the future. The forehand looks extremely better from how disastrous it was to her game last year. It was punished by ever opponent. Now that she can use the forehand again to get the ball to the other side of the court, I am sure Coco will improve even more on it as the season goes on and realize how it can be utilized as an asset towards her game. Great start to the season and a third career title for an amazing young athlete.
Like I said, if coco gets stronger she will be hard to beat. Congratulation. Gauff , at the Australian open hit the ball deep with more space, pinpoint those angles and dropshot and get to the net often. Next return stronger. C'mon
“superb,” “fantastic,” “let’s see if she can convert,” “that 2nd serve just sat up,” “simply sensational,” “oh that is great stuff,” “aw, superb,” “oh superb play,” “yes, you most certainly can,” “that was a tough set to come through and come through she has.” 🤡
More than deserved Coco. I’ve been watching most of Coco‘s Matches since Wimbledon 2019 and this Week in Auckland she played truly her best Tennis ever. If she can hold her Nerves in Place she‘ll win her first Grand Slam this Year. And If not…. I Love her anyway❤
Felicitaciones coco por un torneo más ganado y vendrán otros. Mueve más a tus rivales, más potencia en tus golpes y se más agresiva, siendo así, un gran slam llegará muy pronto 👍🏿👏🏿💪🏿🏆
CONGRATS Coco on winning this WTA-250 level event for the 1st tournament of 2023. I wish you would have just entered a WTA-500 level event instead (Adelaide International 1 or 2) because you are a top 10 player. Interestingly enough, Adelaide is an ATP-250 event.
If Coco wants to challenge for grand slam wins she has to adopt her doubles partner's hitting strategy. Coco returns the ball back to where her opponent is standing too many times. It's kinda of a pusher mentality. She's too physically gifted to rely on this. Pegula's way is the way to go. Otherwise Iga will continue to beat her.
@Lamin Drammeh That is exactly what I am saying and the facts bear that out. She is supposed the be the next Serena right, the GOAT?? Well, reality differs that.
Same old game with the "get it back forehand" from Gauff. She was destroyed in the WTA finals by all the top players with this playing style. Simply will not cut it in the GS arena. Congrats on winning the tournament, but I do not see her contending against top 20 players, just like last year...
this means trashing, your opponent breaking you 2 or 3 times in a set is trashing and you never broke one time, leave the rest of the talk so the girls can get to work for their Ausie open training
So for EVERYONE now: Gauff had 10 break points and converted 5 of them while Masarova had 11 break points and converted 0. This shows that the match was or could have been much closer than the score of 6-1 6-1 might suggest.
4:41 since when was the WTA renamed to the “Hologic WTA” that’s pretty embarrassing if this lady misspoke. They may be an individual sponsor here but as far as I know we don’t not refer to the WTA and its history of titles as “the hologic WTA tour.” How blatantly misogynistic a move that would be.
Yes. I meant those gals do not hit loopy balls. Iga hits with spin but with alot of power. Would love to see Coco play on hard courts and see the trajectory of her shots. Will be interesting Australian
Muy buena actuación en la final y en todo el torneo de Rebeka Masarova. Ojalá sea un punto de inflexión para ella en su carrera. ¡Enhorabuena y a seguir progresando!
When I first met with Mrs Mary about crypto trading I took the opportunity regardless the risks but now I am happy that I took the step to success by trading with Mary Lynn Crawford. You know Ignorance can be the worst thing and mistake that most people always do.
@Corey Murphy success, not sucess, smh. So far, Gauff has really done nothing in WTA to speak of in terms of GS. Except for the FO, which was on clay where she got a cakewalk draw. Ironically, she is a clay court player due to her speed. Her forehand and serve still lack any real consistency.
@Corey Murphy Hold your horses, do you know that Chanda is an extremely successful and dignified tennis player? Does yhe fact that you take offence to my sincere comment mean that you are looking down on Chanda? Can you achieve even an iota of what she's achieved? I think not...shame on you 👉
Gauff hope they give you these type of draws all the time no top 40, 30, 20, 10 they jus gave you this tournament that's called cheating. Coooooongraaaaaats😳🤫
Coco has fixed too many mistakes in her games compared to the previous two years.she is covering the court so well, and faster than before. Beautiful and fast crosscourt shots with precision, less double fault in her serving and good return. I mean she is a Gland Slam contender now.
I got money on her to win
@Im here for it all You act as though she is the only player to ever do it.
I agree completely with everything you said, but coco has always been a grand slam contender. She made it to the finals of a slam last year.
I think she is a little older and stronger I just hope she also more mentally tough. All that crying on the court was so friggen annoying to watch.
@Farhat K As they always have
Coco looks very solid. The forehand was much improved. The fh preparation is much more controlled and the rotation and contact point was much better. This gave her confidence and the rest of her game (which was already top notch) flourished even more.
I agree. Her FH was always lacking but glad she came through this tournament.
I am glad that they've kept the shape on her forehand, rather than trying to flatten it out. Spin is definitely the way forward for her. She has the power to make things really difficult for the other girls with a heavy ball.
I really hope Coco wins her first GS this year, she’s a definite contender
Here is def some brain damage goimg on
Me too and she will.
The forehand is starting to look really good from coco. She will do well at the AO this year.
She might cause some damage, you never know. Hopefully she gets farther at AO
@Andrew Thompson agreed. Clay season is where she plays her best tennis. Waiting to see the Draws for AO.
She will be out by the third round, like in all the hardcourt tournaments. She is a clay court player due to her speed and the slower court.
Congrats to CoCo for a well-played match & tournament!
Congrats coco! Looking forward to u winning your first slam 🤞🏻
Congrats Coco! Your all court game is exciting to watch!! Looking forward to seeing you at the Australian Open!!!
Coco is the only reason I watched tennis.
And the best part about Coco is not even her tennis, to me its her heart and mind how she expresses herself is like
a 40 year old with humanity and compassion for other people and her world views are amazing for her young age.
@Katarzyna Chrobot When you and men can get pregnant you can have all the children your heart desires, until then stay out of a woman's body.
Yeah, you can see these humanity and compassion especially when she supports killing unborn children (women's right to choice, but no one talks about unborn child's right to live). Oh wait, maybe her amazing humanity and compassion are meant only for these people who were lucky enough to be born?
I agree. She comes across quite cold on court, but I'm always so impressed with her off the court. So warm, insightful and articulate!
So True.
Very happy to see Coco win. She looks very solid. I expect great things from here this year.
Congratulations 🍾🎊🎉🎈! Way to go Coco Puffs ! On and upwards , a great start to the season ! 🎉🎉

I totally agree with you. 2023 starts good for COCO.
Congratulations Coco! Great job! I can see she is getting physically stronger and now has more pop on her ground strokes to hit winners…in particularly on her forehand. Keep up the good work and you will win a GS in 2023. 👏👏👏👍 ❤From Jamaica!! 🇯🇲
Her forehand has pop??? What match were you watching???
Well done both players. Congratulations Coco!
Congratulations Coco!!! So very happy for you on a great win!!
You win Coco way to go!!🇺🇸🎾🏆
Congrats to Coco great match 👌💥
Congrats to Coco 👏 Hope many more to come 👍

It makes my life a happy place when Coco wins 💜
I’m rooting for you Coco you can do it your are on fire 🔥 keep up the good work
Happy for gauff improve very well on hard court third wta title and 18 years amazing hope she go far in ao
This match was much closer than it seems. Masarova didn't convert the break points, that is why. 0/11 break points won. Anyways, well played for both! 🙌🙌🙌
Coco Gauff is GREATNESS IN THE MAKING!!
Let's talk about Masarova! She played really amazing and held her nerve all week to get to the final coming from qualifying. Nice to see another spanish girl cracking the top 100. Nice control and velocity on the ball!!! I want her to flatten her shots some......over all a great performance CoCo!!!!
Go Coco, congrats!!!
Congratulations 🎉❤ great performance and she’s only 18 😳
Congratulations, Coco🎉
More Aces Coco.....Overall you have Elevated your Game!!!💙💙💙
Off to a flying start for Coco!

Nole played a250 this week too..
AO watch out for Coco. She's on🔥🔥🔥🔥💪
Coco, awesome game.
Congratulations
Looked well rested an upgraded a few things. All the best with this start.
Great job Coco!
Congratulations Coco looking good looking good out there!!!
First title of the year. This is looking good for coco. Will this be the year of the coco slam! lets see.... congrulations

She's too physically gifted to rely on this.
Pegula's way is the way to go.
Otherwise Iga will continue to beat her.
This was an important win for Coco. She needs confidence.
CONGRATS COCO super happy for you.
Coco has all the shots but she still looks unsure about what shot to make
Congratulations coco on your accomplishments
Her first tittle YESSSSSS!!! You are on your way COCO!!!
Coco will get to the AUS open finals...congrats
@Lamin Drammeh that is exactly what I am saying about the self proclaimed" better than Serena" 👧
@Lamin Drammeh That is exactly what I am saying and the facts bear that out. She is supposed the be the next Serena right, the GOAT?? Well, reality differs that.
@Andrew Thompson she made three round of 16 appearances on a hardcourt, one as a 15-year-old and you’re saying “she doesn’t do well on hardcourt?”
@Jamie Anderson That was clay homie, she does not do well on hardcourt.
@Jeffrey Spence But she has great potential i think she can make the QF,SF or maybe the final. She has made a gs final before so why not again
Go Coco!!
I'm happy for coco gauff congtratulations
Well done she is deserving of her win 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️🤗 would she be Emma radacon? How many yeses and how many knows well I say yes 👍🏽
Atleast she won a title after a long time 🌸
Congratulations Coco 🫰
Splendid ❤
Good win and good tennis by Coco.

this means trashing, your opponent breaking you 2 or 3 times in a set is trashing and you never broke one time, leave the rest of the talk so the girls can get to work for their Ausie open training
You need fewer breakpoints when you convert them more efficiently... right?
So for EVERYONE now: Gauff had 10 break points and converted 5 of them while Masarova had 11 break points and converted 0. This shows that the match was or could have been much closer than the score of 6-1 6-1 might suggest.
@Felix B You contradict yourself.
But she didn't convert them....
From the highlights masarova won the first set… Congrats Coco, and congrats masarova
The first set highlights were misleading! Stats don’t lie! Easy win for Coco! 🤡🤡🤡
That is because the match was much More closer than it seems From the score. The key were the break points, Masarova 0/11 and Coco 5/10
Coco is bit by bit improving her ball striking and serve. She’s always had the athleticism, good attitude and warm heart. Congratulations!
Victoria de coco vamos 💪🥎
Cake walk. If coco has a better forehand she would be unstoppable
She played so well..happy for her Only better thing in her future for sure .
Congrats Coco
Coco ,getting better every day,
Congratulations🏆
So so happy for Coco. Her game definitely killer on clay. Flat hitters like Iga, Pliskova, and Ons will neutralize the high balls. Well done Coke
True, she is suited for clay. Most people don't realize that , good observation.
Yes. I meant those gals do not hit loopy balls. Iga hits with spin but with alot of power. Would love to see Coco play on hard courts and see the trajectory of her shots. Will be interesting Australian
Iga does not hit flat, she hits with crazy spin
Bravo por G!!!!!!
Congratulations Coco
Coco is on a roll!!!
Coco still very young, she will gets better everytime until she reached her peak.
Muy buena actuación en la final y en todo el torneo de Rebeka Masarova. Ojalá sea un punto de inflexión para ella en su carrera. ¡Enhorabuena y a seguir progresando!

Y el reconocimiento para su vencedora no lo hay, no merece coco ser felicitada por su victoria?
That russian girl sucks
Happy for coco
Glad Coco won, but why did the highlights seem to be edited for Masarova fans??
Too easy for Gauff haha
*Despite the financial instability all over the world, I’m so excited I’ve been earning $45,000 from my $10,000 investment every 10days...*
Wow 😱😱 I know her, I once doubted her but I gave it a try and it was of no regret
When I first met with Mrs Mary about crypto trading I took the opportunity regardless the risks but now I am happy that I took the step to success by trading with Mary Lynn Crawford. You know Ignorance can be the worst thing and mistake that most people always do.
I will text her on WhatsApp. Good Woman❤️
Count me in I'm placing my trades with Expert Mary Lynn Crawford asap.
@Adina Pacewicz THANKS DUDE, you just share a vital information that will help lots of people who desire to make profits from trading
Congrats to Coco 🥳🥳🥳, she has the potential to become the next Chanda Rubin, C'MOOONNN!!!!

congrats coco
Gauff hope they give you these type of draws all the time no top 40, 30, 20, 10 they jus gave you this tournament that's called cheating. Coooooongraaaaaats😳🤫
That tournament ended up weird af.
That forehand still wouldn't survive a swatiek I'm sorry. Love her though
Coco is becoming Djokovic of the women's tour
I sometimes forget she’s only 18
Shes only 15, 16, 17 , 18.....Been hearing that for years. Tired old record.
All I see is Venus in Coco
Can I also mention that this is such a pleasant court to watch in a video
❤️❤️
Yes. Queen we root for you. Now lets go get the AO.😍
Not against a top 10 player ...
Coco 😍😍😍
@WTA So what round is this? I guess I have to go to another site to found out as it isn't in the title.
This was the final for Auckland
Yay where’s that Cheque.
This Coco player... I kinda need her 😋
They were just hitting right back to each other. Coco is pretty good, but she is not going to be the next Serena.
no double final highlight ? @wta
